Railway Budget 2014 – 15 of India By Sadananda Gowda Highlights, Speech, Key Features:

The Railway Budget is the Annual Financial Statement for the Indian Railways presented every year by the Railway Minister representing the Ministry of Railways.

Few days before the Union Budget of India every year the Railway Budget will be presented in the Parliament by the Minister of Railways.

The Honorable Minister Minister of Railways Shri Mallikarjun Kharge had earlier presented the Interim Railway Budget 2014-15 in the Parliament on 12th February, 2014 of the Congress Government.

The 16th Lok Sabha of India general election 2014 was conducted from 7th April 2014 to 12th May 2014 and the vote counting happened on 16th May 2014 with results of BJP winning 282 MP seats.

So after the election Narendra Modi of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was sworn in as the 15th and current Prime Minister of India.

Hence the Railway Budget for the financial year 2014-15 will be presented on 9th July 2014 by the Minister of Railways D. V. Sadananda Gowda.
